Bioskin Hinged KneeSkin
Bioskin Hinged KneeSkin 14 14
Medial Collateral Ligament Tear This product was the only hinged knee brace I could find that fit my knee properly, having tried other manufacturers including DonJoy. The main letdown was that the hinge caused some pressure aches on the tops of my calf/side of knee after a full days skiing but this was outweighed by the extra confidence it provided in deep powder and fast on-piste action. The product is well constructed and I would imagine it will continue to help me for years to come (no fraying stitching or material tears) Bottom line⦠if you want to continue skiing/snowboarding with the confidence you had before a ligament knee injury this could well be the brace that works for you too and its pretty well priced too! 17 February 2014
Bioskin hinged Kneeskin I suffer from miniscus problem - the new brace is both comfortable and excellent qualtiy. Wore the brace for 8 hours a day whilst skiing and forgot i had it on - Very comfortable - recommend the range for people with knee problems. 04 February 2014
Snug and secure I bought this brace after a nasty knee injury to add support - both physically and mentally!! It fits snugly but is still soft enough and thin enough not to be bulky or uncomfortable - under ski trousers it is not visible. The hinge is very maneuverable without being in any way slack and I feel a lot stronger and more confident on my knee as a result of wearing it and it really does seem to add stability to my knee. I would recommend this brace. 14 January 2014
A leg to stand on! I wouldn't have had a leg to stand on during my recent trip to Tromsø and definitely wouldn't have been able to ski without the Bioskin Hinged KneeSkin! Having exploded my knee 40 years ago, losing my meniscus and cruciate ligaments in the process, I've always needed knee support when skiing or walking on ice. The Bioskin Hinged KneeSkin lives up to its name: hinged for flexibility, it is as comfortable as an outer skin yet reliably supportive. It kept my knee in place during both Nordic and downhill skiing, during Spark sledging and everyday excursions to the shops over icy roads. Best of all, it put my mind at ease and kept a smile on my face. 13 January 2014
uncomfortable, slipped and caused chafing around the knee I was recommended this product by someone else who had knee problems and the sales team in Chertsey, after miniscus surgery for the 3rd time on my left knee. I bought medium size for both knees. Nothing wrong with the sales team. However i just returned from skiing a week and gave up wearing it on day3 . It gathered up behind the knees squeezing my skin in the process and left red marks. It also left marks where the hinged side points were. It slipped down gradually during the day and repeated trips to the loo were needed to keep it up! (However i could not get a smaller size on and larger size seemed like it would slip when trying them on in the shop). I tried making it tighter above the knee to hold it up but no real change and just made the skin sorer. Chair lifts were painful behind the knee. Rubbing made the skin sore where it gathered up and so I resorted to an old basic knee support for comfort and warmth for remaining holiday as these made skiing miserable. Sorry but this cost me £130 and i cant wear them, I've never complained like this before but be aware they may not work for you either ! 30 December 2013
Brilliant My husband has spent hundreds of pounds on specialist knee braces following a broken cruciate ligament and a broken patella tendon in two skiing accidents. He says this is the best, comfortable, not too restrictive, light weight, very supportive and is getting value for money by being able to wear it for walking etc due to its adaptability. A wonderful find and is coming to buy another for his other knee! 29 March 2013
Great supports Just been skiing with one of these on each leg - very comfortable, excellent support, added confidence & helped to keep the knees warm. 11 March 2013
Great for a bit more support for anyone with mild knee problems I have a mild knee problem which requires some support while its recovering from an injury. I find this gives enough support however I am not that keen on using it with the hinges while skiing. But the good point of this is that the hinges can be removed. Used it for two weeks of skiing and all so far has gone well. Its got pretty good support and feels ok. 13 February 2013
