cant fault it used it in the peak district,we had rain sleet snow on and off all day n the coat was perfect kept me dry all day long. one could say it does what it states on the label. BRILL PRODUCT. 26 March 2013
This product fits the description a treat Bought this jacket as an outer shell to combat rainy weather conditions whilst out walking. When not in use it packs into my rucksack easily and takes up little room and weight. Great bright colour for those dull days. Highly reccommended. 21 January 2013
Light and comfortable Bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it.especially the great features including an smart phone/MP3 player pocket! The jacket is light weight and fully water proof being GoreTex. In cold weather it is advisable to wear a jumper or a fleece underneath but generally great for the all year around Great British weather! The jacket is worn everyday! 27 February 2013

Made from durable Gore-Tex® Paclite®, the Etive Jacket provides unbeatable weather protection without racking up those unnecessary grams. Articulated sleeves and a longer cut ensure complete coverage and fantastic freedom of movement, whilst a range of handy features focus on providing extra protection from the elements and eliminating wind chill.

Glossary

Gore-TexGore-Tex is a unique tissue paper thin microporous membrane, which contains over 9 million pores per square inch. Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, yet some 700 times bigger than a moisture vapour molecule. This gives the fabric excellent levels of waterproofness and breathability. The outer face of the Goretex fabric is coated with a hydrophobic DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment which encourages surface water to bead up and run off, improving the wet weather performance of the garment and promoting breathability by preventing wetting-out of the outer face which can cause the face fabric to become less breathable, thus preventing the membrane from breathing.
