Rated 5 out of 5Â by BigE Best buy so far
Never owned a pair of la sportiva till now, what can I say I'm very impressed, the quality is second to none, extremely comfortable and very stylish, I now wear them everyday, the sticky soles are great for scrambling and for low level walks, can't really fault them just wish they were waterproof, and to top it off got these beauty's pretty much half price in the sale, thanks snow & rock

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SteveB1124 Really grippy approach shoe
Although these shoes are a little narrow for my (slightly) wide feet, they are comfy enough to wear all day. The best thing about them (apart from the excellent build quality) is how sure-footed you feel in them. Super grippy vibram sole feels really firm, which in combination with a generous sticky rand gives you superior performance. I recently wore them for 3 hours of mountain biking with my kids on a very wet day and my feet didn't feel at all wet, so the claim that they have a water repellent upper is a reality, rather than wishful thinking. As an additional bonus, they look cool in mountain gear and jeans alike.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by utah99 This product is invaluable because they are so good at their job
Utah is rough terrain and these shoes are fantastic for grip and wearing. I always have a stash of them ready.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by gbm001 Good for general scrambling/easy climbing
Rather than trying to make an approach shoe pretending to be a climbing shoe, and thus being terrible on anything rather than rock, this is an approach shoe that is actually good at the approach part and not terrible on loose mud/grass. It still climbs OK though, particularly if you lace it tightly. I intend to use it on long easy mountaineering enchainments with some VDiff grade stuff but mostly just scrambling/moving together. They will still be better on rock (including scree) than on grass but are fairly stable on loose material; if your walk-in is mostly grass then why are you wearing approach shoes? There isn't a massive amount of tread on them, so I expect they will wear out with use (like climbing shoes) but at the discounted price I got them that should be fine - and I am happy to 'spend' the rubber on the rock (just like with a climbing shoe).
PS they are completely non-waterproof (although they do dry out quickly) so walking through damp grass higher than the rubber rand will get your feet wet...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jimd Nice fit and bridges the approach/rockshoe requirment and look the biz
Got these on sale, the 42 is a good fit and I plan to try and get a pair of 41.5s for scrambling.
Shame 1/2 sizes are hard to get in the UK.
Bit early to tell, but so far so good.

This is a great product. I was worried about spending that much money and not getting what I wanted, but I was not disappointed. They are incredibly comfy and have great grip. I just hope they last and if they do, I will keep buying them.

I have been wearing these for outdoor work and they offer great support, feel very dynamic and seem pretty tough so far. The slight downside is they are pretty hard on your feet after wearing them for a few long days.
