NOT disappointed These ski's were sold to me by 'bald' Ian - I think thats his name. He had suggested sa cheaper pair of Volkl skis which I felt were a bit lightweight. I was a bit unsure for a few reasons. I had my heart set on buying a pair of Rossignol Attraxion 8 Echo TPX which were no longer available and I had to make a compromise and a decision quickly as I was going to skiing the next day. Ian gave me these skis at a very good price and said if I was at all disappointed I could return them. The skis were amazing. The conditions were pretty good for Easter and these skis glided effortlessly through the snow. Turning was completely effortless and skiing off piste was much easier as the skis gave me amazing stability. My only slight problem is that one of the skis squeaks while I am skiing which is due to the bindings and probably just needs a bit of oil or more wear. 22 April 2013

Glossary:

XTD Wood Core Light:Consists of a full-length lightweight wood core sitting beneath the Extended Double Grip chambers.
Double Grip XTD tech:Has the most consistent pressure distribution of any construction V?lkl has ever created, offering more control, and better performance. Added height extends from tip to tail, placing more material where it?s needed-in support of the edges.
Powered by steel technology:Layer of spring steel below the ski's core that absorbs vibration, providing additional stability for a fabulous blend of smooth-riding, yet lively performance.
Bio-Logic stance:The toe of the binding is raised for a more neutral stance, resulting in better balance between the muscles in the front and rear of the legs. This stance reduces loading on the quadriceps, which undergo most of the strain in the turn. More balanced muscle action between the quads and hamstrings means better performance, and potential protection for the knees.
Bio-Logic Flex:Flex is carefully matched to work in synergy with the Bio Logic stance and geometry. Stiffer in the front of the ski for quick turn initiation, and softer in the tail for easy turn exit, it enhances flex distribution and gives the skier the ultimate in comfort and control.
Bio-Logic Geometry:Proprietary Bio-Logic sidecut shapes are more generous in the tip, and narrower in the tail than those of unisex skis. They feature a specific, progressive design that has a tighter radius in the front of the ski for easier turn initiation and a longer radius toward the tail. The narrower tail allows the skier to finish the turn with less effort, allowing her to transition from one turn to the next with ease. This also reduces the load on the knees during the end of the turn.
Full Camber:Provides maximum control, precision and ride quietness in both gliding and slight edging situations.
