Good product, with great features
Good sturdy product that manage well in both the Peak District and Lake District.
Lightweight and waterproof. Up to all conditions
Although a canvas boot, some wearing in still needed.

so far so good
I have only used these once on the hill, but they were light and comfortable. Whilst still providing good ankle support.
I wanted to avoid using leather boots to try and cut my 'animal footprint'- these fitted the bill and were breathable and still gore tex for waterproofness.
My Girlfriend has the matching Woman's pair so we do look a bit special with matching boots! (Snow and Rock do not sell these- but they are available from other stores) .

great support while being lightweight
My old walking Boots had started to fall apart so I needed new ones. What I was looking for was a "one for all" Boot that gives stability but is still lightweight and can be worn in different climate zones. Obviously this is hard (if at all) to find and I was originally looking at mid-height Boots but in the end went for these as due to a sale the price was the same (it since has been further reduced, bugger :) but makes it even more worthwhile buying) but the Cosmic 4D 2 GTX gave me the extra stability for the ankle I was looking for. I since had the chance to try it twice in the English Countryside. It is as Waterproof as advertised and I could follow my friend through some of the larger puddles even though she was wearing Wellies while my feet kept dry. Obviously this Terrain cannot be compared to the kind of Mountain Hiking on lose gravel I plan to do later this year but the Shoe is very comfortable in this kind of weather and yet I'm sure it won't be to warm to take it for hiking in the Summer where I will test how much "grip" it will really have.
I also like the way the lacing is done as it provides extra protection against opening up and the shoe becoming lose by having those extra "anchor"-points on the Side.
The only downside (if any) is that the texture of the outer mesh makes it harder to clean than the smooth leather of my old Boots but then again this is lighter, waterproof and fits perfectly.

Great boots, very light but with all the support and feel of heavy duty boot. Have not tried them in the wet , yet. Overall if you have the cash well worth it.
