The BCA Tracker avalanche transceiver, is one of the easiest and fastest avalanche transceivers on the market, because of its rapid processor and simple user interface. A real-time, digital display shows both direction and distance with bright red LEDs (light emitting diodes). The distance is shown in meters and indicator lights display the direction of transmitting beacons. Triple antennae with real time display makes the BCA Tracker easy to use. The search to transmit switch is very easy to use even with gloves on. The new BCA Arsenal with A1 blade and probe system includes a full-length 240 cm probe that is stowed inside the shovel grip. The probe can be instantly deployed from the shaft. Once the probe is deployed, the shovel is still fully functional. We have gone for this combination this season as this shovel gives a full 240 cm probe option, the Tour system which is now the B1 System for 2012, weighs in at 666g and the Arsenal A1 weighs just 83g maore at 749g With the added benefit of the much more useful 240 cm probe we feel that it makes sense to go with this shovel.
