Burton Feather

Burton Feather 5 5 1 1
Great beginners board The Burton Feather is a great board for beginners like myself and I can thoroughly recommend! You won't be disappointed! A big thank you to Snow and Rock for all their help and advice in store! 29 April 2014

Burton cater to all abilities and styles of riding, and they are the leaders when it comes to progression. The Feather is aimed squarely at the rider that wants to master the basics in the shortest time possible so they can get on with becoming an accomplished rider. it’s a forgiving flex that is easy to control, and edges that are slightly turned up from the snow at the ends making it way less likely to catch edges. This means you’ll spend more time nailing your first powder turns, getting air off jumps and building a solid foundation to spring from. This is a snowboard for progression hackers.

Glossary

The ChannelThe Channel is Burton’s ultimate connection, offering the fastest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible. It’s also compatible with all major binding companies, so why settle for anything less? New for 2014, all boards featuring The Channel are backed by a three-year warranty.
Directional ShapeThe classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Extruded BaseExtruded bases are made with polyethylene pellets that are melted down under extreme heat. Once melted, the pellets are forced together under pressure using a machine that measures the correct base thickness. The result is one solid, completely smooth piece of polyethylene. Extruded snowboard bases tend to be more durable and cheaper to make than sintered bases. Extruded bases are not porous and do not hold wax as well as sintered snowboard bases.
Women's Specific True FlexTrue Flex™ optimizes women’s board design to match the geometry and finesse of female riders. Torsional softness underfoot transitions to stabilizing zones between and outside your feet. The result is improved stability, effortless edge control, and energized pop in the tip and tail.
Cruise ControlBoosts confidence with the catch-free combo of a softer flex and mellower edge tune. On tapered boards like the Clash™ and Feather™ the nose is fully convex for all-terrain stability, whereas the twin-tip Lyric is convex at the nose and tail for freestyle fun regular or switch.
