Simple and effective - better than a cloth bag Having invested in new skis this year I decided I needed something better than the usual padded cloth bag for my skis. I bought one of these and I don't regret it - although not the cheapest, I felt my skis and poles would arrive in good condition . One tip I would suggest is to use an old towel between the ski bindings to protect the bindings from scratching . I also found that using two webbing straps to hold the skis together made them easier to put into the tube and helped to hold the Poles in place also. The space between the skis allows for the packing of clothes. ski tuning kit etc. Great product and they really do protect your skis .. 21 March 2014
The 'Samsonite' equivalent for Skis This product is for those who want to protect their skis, either from the rigorous attentions of baggage handlers or the ravages of a prolonged spell on the roof rack. It is solid enough to protect against both knocks and water and salt ingress when on the roof. It is a very solid case that splits into two pieces to allow access for the skis, poles and other small items that can be fitted inside. It has good carrying handles which can double up as anchor points when strapping to the roof rack. as well as small wheels if you don't want to carry it. Although it could be considered quite pricey compared to soft cases it is a cheaper option that a ski specific roofbox or the cost of danmaged equipemnt. 26 November 2013
If you are going to lug skis then use this This is a useful product which takes much of the hassle out of lugging skis in transit. A helpful set of wheels at the end makes it very helpful when changing trains of planes. The product is easy to put together, fits most skis and can be locked if desired. I found it much easier then a simple ski bag. 29 April 2013
A simple product The Sportube is an effective way to carry skis without risking them being crushed. If you travel by plane or by train to a resort it gives you a bit more piece of mind. The tube is a little bit tight to fit the skis in, but my skis are quite wide and have touring bindings, so that possibly made a difference. I would say the only negative is it seems a little expensive for what is and something like a free padlock along with it would have been better. 04 January 2013
