Day one of a three-day solo trip in an obscure corner of the Cairngorms by an elderly gent who does not want to carry much but who wants to eat well. Loch nan Eun covered in cloud is a lonely place, but watching a pair of Great Northern Divers eat trout whilst I ate Chilli con Carne followed by custard and fruit remains a high-light. I already have decided the menu for my next trip.

Didn't expect much when i took it with me to a climbing trip where we were isolated for days. must say it tasted rather nice, except I put too much water in it so it was a bit like a chilli con carne soup. also it was just the perfect amount but i must add im a smallish lady so my bigger fellow climbers needed a dessert :) have tasted a few different flavors from the same brand during that trip and they were all absolutely great. more importantly it has nothing nasty in it and being a dried pack its all you want for lightweight packing.
