Osprey Talon 22
Good daypack; although leave the books at home
I purchased this pack mostly for a two day/one night ascent of Mount Kinabalu in Borneo - I needed something to carry one-days clothing, though ranging in temperatures, and any and all gear I needed - and then also for general daypack use.
I had considered the Talon 11, and glad I upped the size.
My only complaint, is the location of the small pocket at the top. It's positioning is odd to me, in that it dangles down at the centre of the top of the bag. I found it a struggle to get stuff out of the main compartment, as items were constantly getting stuck behind the protruding small pocket.
Of course, you can't fault Osprey fit and comfort, and it's one of the smallest packs with a proper waistbelt.
I just might cut-out the small pocket.

Great bag - only a shame about the colour selection
The bag itself is great. Very comfortable and customisable. Lots of pockets ect but never too fiddly. My only gripe is the colour selection which is terrible. Other bags in the range have some more subdued colours (such as grey) but the most natural colour for this size is the green.
