I'm sure this is very good for boarders but as I ski it was too cumbersome.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Thumper A great confidence booster
Having broken my upper arm in the New Year, I purchased the body armour in the vain hope of protecting myself against further damage. In the event I remained upright throughout the week.
It provided confidence, it was comfortable to wear even in the hot weather at the beginning of April. The only real drawback is that it is hard for a middle aged man to look cool in it!

I have just come back from skiing in morzine, France and wore the armour shirt every day. It's very light and flexible and after a few minutes of wearing, moulds to your body. I found it retained this heat and kept me warm and dry on particularly cold and wet days. During my 5 day holiday I skied every run except for black and felt very reassured waring the shirt. I fell twice during my holiday and believed it helped on both occasions. I cannot recommend this product more highly. Having started skiing nearly 30 years ago and having had some near miss collisions with other skiers during that time, I won't be leaving home without it. Money well spent.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Solublepeter Flexible, and you feel like a superhero
I chose this shirt because I was aware that as I get older, falls will start to hurt me more.
Its great to have the all-round coverage, and has the rather odd advantage of making you feel good when you're wearing it, although it is still easy to move in.
Only downsides are:
a) The shirt material does not feel very hardwearing, you feel as though you need to be careful when putting it on not to put your fingers through it.
b) the protection is comprised of multiple layers of high density foam, so I do wonder if I might get more back protection from something with a more rigid layer
But that same flexibility is why it does not bother you when you are wearing it, and it does claim to be a level II grade of protection.
I guess its better to be wearing a lighter protector, than not wearing a heavier one (because its too cumbersome, and spoils your enjoyment.)

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Carlos52 The Pro Shirt L2 is surprisingly comfortable and lightweight
On December 26th 2012 I had a bad fall skiing in Austria and needed rotator cuff surgery to repair tendons in my right shoulder which took 6 months to heal. My wife bought me the Pro shirt for Christmas. I've just come back from the slopes and I have to say that its not only the fact that this piece of kit offers protection it also gave me confidence. I completely forgot about my shoulder and enjoyed a great holiday. Its super comfortable and lightweight and I'd wear it even if I hadn't injured myself. The only criticism I have is that I normally buy 'large' and to be honest its a bit tight buts thats OK because I need to lose a few pounds anyway.
