Sportiva Men's Ganda Guide 3.8 5 6 6
good. but should be for the £$ Good boot. comfortable and reliable on mixed ground. Can be sweaty! A great approach boot with good grip in all conditions. 10 March 2014
Happy Feet Cracking kit; quality, fit and comfort. Though naturally this sort of quality tends to come at a price! Would I buy again............ YES I WOULD :) 22 October 2013
Stonking boot Can't fault it. Asymmetric lacing means boot fits very well, which is critical when teaching at the crag. Thrilled with quality. Chap who sold them counselled against using uppermost lace eyeholes saying they weren't fit for purpose, but I've had no dramas so far. Great boots. 16 July 2013
Grand Randonnee to E3 This is my second pair of Ganda Guides and they are now my go to footwear for cragging, hiking and mountainbiking. Perfect on the GR5 and surefooted on run out E3's, one pair of boots for your alpine summer adventure. 10 June 2013
Solid on steep stuff Boots are solid performers, even in snow/slush (Used waterproofing spray) excellent traction on rocks and good on scree. Would not use again for long hike as need abit more support. Did tripryamid in NH 13 miles total. 18 March 2013
Very Poor If you buy these boots you will probably have to return them. The first pair broke on day one and were exchanged the second pair broke after 10 days. They are a very comfortable and quality boot but are let down by the lace loops which fail very quickly. Would strongly recommend buying the shoe version instead - these are excellent on all accounts. 11 March 2013

Glossary

Slip lasted:The method of footwear construction in which the upper is sewn into a sock and then slipped onto the last. Slip lasted shoes normally do not have an insole and get their "stiffness" from the midsole which is located just above the outsole. Slip lasted shoes tend to be sensitive and less stiff than board lasted shoes.
Board lasted:The method of crafting shoes around the insole (also called the board). In board lasting the insole is fixed to the last/form and then the upper of the shoe is wrapped around this assembly. In the final step the midsole, rands and finally the outsole are attached to the shoe.
Vibram:High quality rubber soles, renowned for durability and stability.
Impact Brake System:The inclined position of the lugs combined with the shock absorbing PU midsole reduce by 20% the impact that the foot, leg and back endure with each step while walking on hard ground. The special position of the lugs also offers superior grip on very steep terrain, while the innovative design of the heel improves downhill braking efficiency.
