Rated 5 out of 5Â by Animal A good range of light intensities on a head torch that stays put on your head even while hurtling downhill.
Once you have overcome the fiddly fixing of the top strap your problems are over. At its brightest setting there is enough light and good enough beam spread to run trails confidently at race-pace. Its also good for searching for the trail when Hashing (but remember not to look at anyone directly as they won't thank you for burning out their night vision for the rest of the run).
Don't worry about first impressions that the tangle of non-elastic cord straps won't hold the light firmly on your head. They do, and there is the advantage that in a few years you won't have to replace any saggy old elastic straps with wide knicker elastic like in the old days of Petzl head torches.
Although I have not needed to use normal batteries I do like having the option of being able to have a couple of AA 's handy just in case the rechargeable one fails while I'm out in the dark.
OK the Nao is expensive, and you can buy lots of cheaper models, but if you want to play outside in the dark with confidence, then that is the price you need to pay for a bright well built head torch. It must be good, after the first use I went and bought another one for The Wife - I spoil that woman!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BlackDog A great product
I brought the head torch for an endurance running event that saw me running 7 hours at night. With the battery fully charged, and set on the lower of the reactive light setting (which is more that adequate even on the darkest night), I set off. By the end I had only used 1/3 of the battery live.
Simple to use, well designed, and comfortable to wear. You would be lucky get similar performance at twice the price.
I totally commend this product.
