Great piece of kit Bought them for a climbing trip to Thailand, where you tend to be in and out of water and hitting sketchy trails to get to the crags. In the same place last year I destroyed one pair of sandals and one pair of trainers. These Merrells turned out to be the perfect solution - quick drying (even in crazy jungle humidity) and sensitive on the trails, where it helps to know what's going on underfoot. The only issue after three weeks of thrashing is the heel tab stitching started to tear. 23 December 2012

Protection that is provided by a hardwearing synthetic leather/mesh upper and protective toe bumpers.

While a barefoot strobel construction provides a flexible fit and the Vibram® sole utilises smooth, sticky rubber for superior traction on even the dampest of surfaces even allowing you to run just about anywhere, including by the water's edge, through the deepest puddles and even into streams. The shoes are made from quick drying material with drainage ports to the toe and heel, allowing them to expel water quickly.
