Dry feet These are great shoes, for once I've managed to cycle to work and have dry feet when it's raining. Took a few days to wear in, but now they're really comfortable. 26 February 2013

Velours Leather:Obtained by an internal split of the hide/skin. Thanks to its rough surface structure it is highly abrasion resistant and breathable. Depending on the required finish, Velours leather can be waxed or left untreated.
GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear lining:A lining that is ideal for high-output activities and everyday use in moderate and warmer conditions. Extremely breathable, it prevents feet from overheating, provides optimum heat conductivity, excellent moisture management and durable waterproof protection.
gripex? Cougapproach sole:Approach sole made from gripex? APX rubber mix, with lug shapes and flexible lamellas inspired by the claws of the mountain lion, that provides maximum adhesion and has good abrasion values.
EVA IP Wedge:Made from injection-moulded EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), this wedge material is ultra light, damping, durable and abrasion-resistant.
Base Fit:Patented Mammut? technology that features free-sliding bands anchored to the insole, which deliver exceptional power transfer from the lacing section to the sole. As a result the foot cannot slip around inside the boot, improving support, security and comfort, and reducing the risk of blisters.
Rolling Concept:Patented Mammut sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue.
Asymmetric Ghilly lacing with LP laces: Asymmetric lacing adapts to the foot's anatomy and enhances precise footwork as more pressure can be applied to the big toe. The Ghilly system uses webbing loops or rings in place of eyelets to secure the lacing of the upper. LP laces have a flat lace profile that doesn't exert any skin pressure and are
Board lasted:The method of crafting shoes around the insole (also called the board). In board lasting the insole is fixed to the last/form and then the upper of the shoe is wrapped around this assembly. In the final step the midsole, rands and finally the outsole are attached to the shoe.
Mammut DC footbed:Made using open-pored PU foam with active carbon, it provides damping and climate control, and features a functional textile layer and dual-damping heel section.
A6 Flex Index:Soft and flexible sole structure that provides good damping. Ideal for light hiking.
Urban Climbing last:A very asymmetric last with a narrow and elegant shape at the tip, a very narrow heel and low spring.
