Rated 5 out of 5Â by mammoth quality technical boot
Good quality technical alpine boot, fits well .
not too heavy, memo foam perfoms well, fairly stiff for good grip on rockl but not uncomfortably so.
gtx inner gives good protection from water and they dont seem to get too hot on long days out.

Staff as always very helpful, helped find the right boot for my needs in short amount of time.
As for the boot have used 8 times on walks of various lengths over varying terrain from flat to mountainous dry to very wet all with no problems kept feet perfectly dry and no blisters. An excellent all round boot.

I bought the Mammut Crest GTX the day before I had to guide a group on a five day tour around the Alps near Chamonix, I don't recommend buying boots without a good few weeks "breaking in" time however, having lost some items including my boots on a flight I had no time and/or option.
I new Mammut from old and new they would do the job especially as I new the group I was leading wanted to go above the snow line! I tried them on in the store and they felt great which can often be the case until you start doing some decent walking, but we did all the boot tests we could in-store and the guys were great, worried about blistering though I was I had no option but to go for it.
Normally my feat blister up in everything, trainers, flip flops the lot until my feet get used to them, so what was going to be a fun trip I was now dreading, five days in new boots I thought, I'll have two bloody stumps where my feet used to be by the end of it!!!
NOTHING could have been further from the truth, I was careful with my sock arrangements, however five days and five nights I lived in then, super comfortable, stable and supportive in all terrains and warm when it was freezing in the evening, above all else NO BLISTERS!! I would recommend them to anyone, quite simply the best boots about and for my trip it was like wearing slippers in the mountains!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by PatagonianIceWalker Brilliant service, Brilliant boots. Brilliant Experience
I bought these for a specific task. I was going on a glacier hike in Patagonia, Argentina. The boots had to be warm, waterproof, lightweight and crampon adaptable. Snow+Rock service was, as always, well-informed, fast and courteous. These were suggested to me, I was shown how to test them going down an incline and I bought them within 20 mins of arriving in the store. Wore them for my mountain hiking in El Chalten, pounding the pavements in Buenos Aires and, ultimately, for hiking across the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate. They were warm, waterproof, light and comfortable, even with the crampons attached. The best pair of boots I've had in a very long time.
