Great boot for my dogey ankles Great boot for my dogey ankles which play up with most other boots. Excellent features all round. 01 December 2014
The original was Good I had the original Raichle boots back in New Zealand. These have changed slightly, the rubber protector goes all round the boot which doesn't look as cool. To be honest I took my new pair back and replaced them for a lighter weight boot as these are overkill for hiking in the UK which involves mainly farmland and country roads. If I was overseas though I would consider getting these again or Zamberlan. 19 August 2014
Comfortable out of the box I had a pair of the equivalent Raichle boots which I'd worn for around 8 years and trekked over 1,500 miles in. After a recent trip to New Zealand they finally expired (the leather uppers split). They'd been great boots - so I hunted down these Mammuts. Took them out of the box, put them on my feet and set off round the cliffs of Galloway. Just like the old ones! Fantastic! 17 March 2014
one boot is truly excellent. A wonderment of fitting It may be my foot that's weird but these are the first pair of boots in 60 years to highlight my problem, if there is one. The problem is only on the right boot and fitting expensive insoles hasn't fully solved it. Is it the last? I swear you can feel the problem with your finger tips, not when you're wearing the boot, obviously! The transition from heel to arch is so sudden it feels like a padded bar under my foot. Couldn't feel it in the shop when I bought them. Could after a short walk on the carpet at home. Hence the expensive insole. Now the left boot is "the business" but the right remains a problem. No time to break in some others before the trip I'm making so if I come back lame the right boot will be made an issue. 23 September 2013
Festival strength I bought these boots to do some hiking over the summer, but for their first outing I took them to Glastonbury festival. They were great, survived the mud, kept my feet dry and were comfortable to wear from the word go. Such a good pair of boots, highly recommend. 08 July 2013
Comfortable, waterproof and good quality This is a must buy boot for general hiking/scrambling. No need to wear the boots in they were comfortable from the off set. And if its dry feet you want as long as you wear over waterproof trousers then these boots are a winner. 16 February 2013
