The Kjus Women’s Rebound Jacket is exclusive to Snow+Rock in the UK and offers fantastic protection from the elements coupled with a stylish and individual look. Waterproof and breathable, the Rebound jacket combines luxurious down and lightweight PrimaLoft® One insulation to ensure optimum heat distribution. The insulation is held in place by a unique and eye catching baffle construction, which is enhanced by the combination of matt and shiny fabrics. 4-Way stretch gives you unrestricted freedom of movement and there are enough features to ensure that you are well protected and have all of the essentials close at hand, no matter what the mountain throws your way.
| Kjus K-Dry: | Waterproof and breathable insert that is laminated directly onto the face fabric to lower bulk and create a low profile jacket while still maintaining warmth and protection. |
| PrimaLoft® One: | The ultimate microfibre insulation, it has one of the highest warmth-to-weight ratios of any synthetic insulation. Ultra fine fibres are specially treated and then combined into an insulating core that is incredibly soft, lightweight and water resistant. |
| Waterproof Rating: | This is measured and expressed as Hydrostatic Head in millimetres (mm). To find out the Hydrostatic Head of a fabric the manufacturer will take a clear tube and clamp their material over the bottom end. They will then fill the tube slowly with water and watch to see how high the column of water can get before the material lets drips through. The higher the hydrostatic head, the better the water protection. The European Standard a fabric must meet to be classified as waterproof is a Hydrostatic Head rating of 1500mm, and on average, outerwear fabrics tend to have a hydrostatic head of 10000mm and above. |
| Breathability Rating: | Breathability is measured as a rating in grams of how much vapour a square metre of fabric will allow to pass through in 24 hours (g/m2/24). For general use, 10000g/m2/24 and above is desirable. It should be noted that breathable fabrics do not stop you sweating and care should be taken as to clothing worn beneath waterproof/breathable shells. High quality base layers and fleece or insulated midlayers should in themselves draw vapour from the body and pass it outwards, thus allowing the outer fabric to do its job. Cotton clothing should never be worn as part of a performance clothing layering system. |
| Recco® avalanche rescue reflector: | Using sophisticated radar technology, the Recco reflector forms the passive element of a 2-part avalanche search system. Ski resorts and mountain rescue teams carry Recco detectors, which send out a search signal, and the Recco® reflector bounces back a directional signal that directs the rescuer straight to the reflector. More than 600 resorts and rescue services around the world use the Recco Rescue System as part of their immediate response. |
