Retail Operations Manager - Head Office
We are looking for a new Retail Operations Manage who will be based at head office. Reporting to the Group Retail Director, this is a key role within the retail team and will form a critical link between the stores and all head office departments across the Group.
You will be responsible for taking ownership for all communications to stores, helping shape the workload activity calendar, supporting the area/fascia management teams and taking ownership for managing or co-ordinating events and projects as they arise.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:-
- Ownership for all communication to stores ensuring the message is ‘right first time’ and in a user friendly format to make life simple for the store teams. This will include all communication from retail bulletins to policy and procedural changes and all ad-hoc direction/guidance that filters out from head office.
- Take ownership and manage projects and/or events as they arise.
- Establish and maintain a retail workload calendar to ensure stores are set up to succeed and tasks are managed appropriately so that selling & service remain the priority at all times.
- Attend meetings and events as the retail representative including co-represent the retail team at health & safety meetings.
The successful applicant must be able to plan and organise their workload in a structured manner with the ability to juggle a very varied workload whilst meeting deadlines and maintaining standards. You will need to think on your feet, be flexible to embrace new ideas and methods whilst always keeping the stores top of mind.
You must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to delegate effectively, follow-up and challenge as required. Excellent PC skills are essential and knowledge of Publisher, Google Docs and Sharepoint would be extremely valuable whilst Microsoft Office (ie, Excel, Word and powerpoint) is a given.
