The best gloves in the park My 2 3/4 year old adores his shark mitts and receives compliments on them wherever he goes. The velcro fastening allows them to open up wide enough for him to put on unaided. They've performed well in rain and while we have yet to test them in really cold weather, they seem very cosy. There's no string but they do have clips which you could attach one to. These are expensive mitts but we think they're worth it, and I'm even confident that my gloves-resistant boy will continue to wear them happily. 27 November 2012
