Icebreaker Women's 200 Oasis L/s Crew
effective but expensive
I was glad I had tried on in store rather than buying online as I found the sizes quite small. I'm a size 10 in most things but needed the medium. The top is lovely soft fabric and doesn't feel woolly at all, and not at all itchy even on my sensitive skin. It is very effective as a base layer and keeps you surprisingly warm for such thin material. I can't vouch for the no-stink claim as my clothes don't tend to ever stink, but I wore it each evening for a couple of hours at the stables in very cold weather and found it kept me lovely and warm without being at all bulky. It doesn't make you feel sweaty if you do get a bit warm like some of the synthetic fabrics can, although it isn't as stretchy as the synthetic base layers. After a week the weather warmed up so it went in the wash. The next time I put it on I found it had shrunk slightly and was a bit form-fitting despite correct washing and drying as per the garnment label but it eased off on wearing. I do think it is a bit expensive but it is probably worth it if like me you spend long periods outside in cold weather. I have recommended it to my friends, one of whom is going to Iceland shortly.

Not cheap, but good quality
I bought two of these, one for me and one for my wife. We use for mountain biking, and my wife also uses for park fit training. Very effective where it is chilly but where exercise is going to increase core temperature quickly. Even when you get sweaty, the merino wool doesn`t feel uncomfortable. The fit has been fine for both of us, and my wife is particularly pleased with wearing it during her park fitness sessions, which can be very damp and cold to start off. The lack of stink is also striking. We have not had these for long, but seem well made, and although they are more expensive than some similar merino wool base layers, I have noticed that these cheaper brands do not last very long, so I hope this product will be better.

warm, good texture, great product
I wasn't sure on buying this product but now being in the cold weather I am so glad I did. I normally don't like the scratchiness of woollen thermals but this is great and I am just disappointed I didn't get some of the 260 and the thermal pants. I find icebreaker to be a great quality product and wouldn't hesitate buying their brand again.
