Since it began 1956, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has been dedicated to the personal development of young people from all backgrounds. The Award consists of a programme of activities, one of which is an expedition, that can be undertaken by anyone aged 14-24, regardless of personal ability. Over 275,000 young people undertake the DofE programmes every year to achieve either a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The expedition is the most exciting part of the programme and can give you some fantastic memorable experiences! From sailing along the Norfolk Broads to walking in Canada or horse-riding in the Brecon Beacons, it can be as far-flung or as close to home as you want it to be. Whatever your choice of adventure you'll need a set of standard kit that will help you through the trials of the outdoor environment.

Below is a copy of the actual kit list provied by DofE along with suitable suggestions that we currently stock.
