Haglofs Endo Jacket. I needed a new light weight waterproof jacket for fell running/mountain marathons so I hit the net to see what was available. There are a staggering array of jackets to choose from but I had a set of criteria that helped narrow down my search. I didn't really care what the jacket would look like but I did care about weight, durability, breathablity and cost. There are lighter jackets out there but they lack the durability and the breathability I was looking for. The new Active Shell fabric does seem, so far, to do what it says on the tin; it breathes well, packs well and feels robust enough so that you don't have to worry about it every time you dump in in your pack. The cost was my biggest concern as it was above my original budget but I reasoned it's better value in the long run to get a more durable jacket and being Haglofs you know the quality is second to none. The fit is on the generous side, the arms especially. I went for a medium based on chest size but perhaps ought to have gone for a small. I'd recommend trying on before buying. I've used the jacket for two months now in some pretty grim weather and it keeps me dry, breathes far better than my previous jacket and still looks like new. It's a good bit of kit. 01 July 2012
