This was my first climbing shoe and is great, not too techy and very comfy. I went a half size smaller but would go a full size smaller if I could. Very good quality, am happy.

I am a newbie and sick of rental shoes. I bought very agressive pro range shoe but still didn't get that "Yay" feeling so I popped in the store and the guy at the store help me understand what I should try to look for in a shoe. Lets start with positives first
1. Feels like second skin - my normal shoe size is 8 or 8.5 and I bought these in size 6.5.
2. Very sticky - As a beginner I don't trust the foothold but the bad boys just sticks like a magnet
3. Comfort - The material is so soft at the top that when you tighten the straps all it does is hugs your feet
4. Straps - boy oh boy I spent 5hours climbing the very first day I bought these and because they are so small in size I took it off as soon as I finished the problem, easy to come off and put them back again.
Negative - The shoe hugs the heel as second skin which is great but there are stitches which rubs against your back heel - Annoying and irritates the skin! The way I get around this is by putting tape on my back heal.
However, most of the shoes will have the same issue. I checked my friends La Sportiva and they have got stitches at the same place but my friend doesn't have any issues (so far). Also its only on my right foot so I think my skin may be sensitive.
Conclusion - Buy these, I returned the pro range shoes that I bought before these.

Great shoe, really comfortable, go up a standard shoe size with 5 10's as they are very snug.
Great value shoe, with very sticky
