Fantastic Poles! I purchased the 2013 Volkl Bridges last week and suddenly realised I had forgotten all about getting some poles so had a good look around for some that were reasonably priced (on a budget after blowing my savings on my twin tips!) on various websites and eventually came across these. I thought they were perfect as my skis are green and black and my jacket is red so they will look great with the colour coding while Iâm on the mountain. They come in so many colours too so the choice is yours! I had been looking for something a touch cheaper but haven't looked back after they arrived and I saw the quality so I think Snow and Rockâs price at Â£27.99 is fair! Youâll come to expect nothing less from Volkl but the best. The poles themselves are excellently made. They are light but feel very strong and I'm sure these have many years in them. The handle is comfortable to hold with my gloves on and the strap is rugged and tough (doesn't look like it will fray any time soon like you see in rental shops!#. However, the âsnow stoppersâ #the little round things at the bottom of the pole) did not arrive assembled. You have to put them on yourself. Itâs really tough to get them on and Iâm worried I will damage the plastic/rubber so when I get my bindings fixed to my skis at a rental shop Iâm just going to ask them if they can attach them for me. Itâs a minor issue and Iâm probably just not putting enough elbow grease into it! I am yet to use them up the mountain but Iâm doing a whole season this year so they will be heavily exposed to all the elements of Mother Nature and Iâm confident they will hold! If you are concerned with length to get, I'm between 6 foot and 6 foot 1 inches and the 125cm poles fit a treat! If you arenât familiar with sizes itâs best to go into a shop and try a few sizes before you buy. Iâm sure the experts down at Snow and Rock will be glad to help you out. In conclusion, these poles will do the job and serve you well on the mountain; they look like they will last years and have the added perk of looking awesome! 20 November 2012
