Excellent pack!
Having waited a while for the excuse to buy a new pack - a trip to the Alps beckoned. Having used a trusty AK37 for several years (light weight, durable, straight forward design, superb at carrying skis) I decided to try its bigger brother. The "X" bit kept slipping off during the heavy rain, until I realised I hadn't secured it properly. Once fixed it performed brilliantly! Enough strap adjustments to make it comfortable, but not so many to be complicated. The light weight element was a bonus on ascents, and climbs were a dream when you could tighten the pack to lie snug and streamline into your back. Strong material took a battering from ice axes and crampons without rips, or visible damage. Strong work Crux!

The Crux AK47-X is an extremely tough pack that has been made using a mix of Kevlar and Cordura fabrics with a reinforced double-layer base panel. It also has an internal sleeve for a hydration bladder with an oversized port for insulated tubes, a removable floating lid, side compression straps and an oversized back haul loop.
