Great minimal trail bag
I have used this for running and biking and it works well for both. The waist and chest straps help to keep everything firmly on your back without bouncing around, and being small it stops you from bringing more than you need. It certainly fits better than other bags that I've had or tried. The shoulder straps can still rub on your neck a bit so I wouldn't wear it with just a vest, always a compression top or something else as well, and it's worth playing around the the strap adjustments to minimise any movement in general (tighter is not always better# .
Storage is limited but there's enough for some snacks and an extra layer in addition to the 3L reservoir. The waist pouches are very useful for things on the move, and although it's difficult to access them while running or pedalling it's fine when you're walking or coasting. The back pocket is great for things you're less likely to need while moving and is big enough for a couple of small rolls, and you can always put extra things in the reservoir pocket #I've put my bike pump in, or a thin extra layer). The chest pocket has no zip so that's less useful. I tried putting an energy gel in but that only lasted a couple of miles before falling out. It probably works better with other things but I've not tried. The external straps are useful but you need to be careful how you pack things into them, I nearly lost my jacket when I just randomly stuffed it in but I've been more tactical since and it's been fine.
Overall I am very happy with it and intend to get a lot of use from it. No obvious signs of wear or damage to date so seems to be as hardy as my other camelbaks. As with all water reservoirs make sure you get rid of any air trapped when you fill it, and this should stay comfortably on your back

The perfect pack for when you're on the move
For the last year I've been meaning to buy a smaller pack with a reservoir as my old one was quite bulky. I mainly use it for mountain biking but it was usually nearly empty. I have also started doing more running and wanted a pack that I could use for both. I saw a few but none seemed to have a pocket, even for your keys and phone.
This pack has everything I need - it's lightweight and not bulky, there's a pocket in the back for keys, mobile etc and then there are the handy side pockets, perfect for when you're on the go and need to grab something. Plus there's the bungee cords on the back so you can always carry an extra layer if you get too hot.
Finally my one girlie comment - I love the colour. There, I said it.
Great product and really pleased I bought it.
