Not even the African desert could dehydrate me
I have long been sceptical of bladder systems as easily punctured and hard to fill from rivers. I was happy to be wrong at this Camelbak Antidote Reservoir 2 that I bought specifically for a month long expedition to Malawi & Mozambique. Even during their winter the day time temperatures would regularly rise to 35-40 degrees C in the shade and trekking through the arid lands of the rift valley we had to carry all the water we needed with us. As the leader of the expedition I particularly felt it was important that the rest of the team could see me drinking regularly and the Camelback was an excellent way to achieve this. I particularly liked the quick snap cap that alongside the wide neck allowed for easy filling from mountain streams and boreholes alike. My Camelback has earned itself a spot in the top five bits of kit I'll always take with me on exped!
