Great for skiing
I got this to allow me to hydrate while skiing and the product works well for this. It kept the water from freezing even at minus 25 deg C as long as you blow the water back into the bladder after a drink. The product consists of a plastic tube encased in a neoprene jacket to help keep the liquid in the bladder from freezing. It comes with the new 'click' connector which is compatible with 'Antidote' bladders but not the older 'Omega' bladders. However the click connector can be removed by putting the tube in hot water and then pulling the connector off to leave the bare end. This can then be pushed onto the bladder connector. Camelbak do sell an click connector adapter, but this costs £12!
It has a bite water control valve with a lever twist on/off control. I think the design of the Osprey insulated tube is better in that the mouthpiece itself rotates as the on/off valve and the mouthpiece is also encased in an insulated zipper pouch. As a word of warning, the diameter of the Osprey tube is larger than Camelbak, so will NOT fit a Camelbak bladder.
All in all it does the job - although I think it is a bit expensive for what it is.
