The Burton Freestyle is probably the best binding out there at this price point. It has been built on a single component lightweight bombproof baseplate with EVA cushioning, and oozes quality and usability. It also features some great performance-enhancing new tech this season that makes it even better value. Glossary

Disc Baseplate:Made using engineered composites allows for bomber strength and the ability to fine-tune performance in ways not possible with metal. Offers consistent flex and feel throughout, and is compatible with all mounting systems including 4x4, 3D and The Channel.
Canted Living Hinge Team:Ergonomic design follows the natural contours of left/right legs for maximum control and comfort. Living Hinge tech eliminates hardware and weight, and allows independent adjustment of forward lean and rotation.
MicroFLAD:Forward Lean Adjuster - Tool-less system that quickly and easily lets you crank highbacks forward for quicker heel-edge turns, or back them off for jibbing and laid back riding.
EVA:Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, a polymer used to absorb physical shock. Used in athletic materials.
LushStrap:3D curved triple axis spine design w/EVA padding. Moulded to perfectly match the shape of your ankles.
Adaptastrap:Versatile and comfortable design that can be used as a Capstrap or a Toestrap.
