The Black Diamond Mid Weight gloves are perfect worn under shell gloves or used on their own during aerobic activity. They have been made using Polartec Power Stretch fleece and feature a full goat leather palm with Kevlar stitching.
Glossary:
- Polartec Power Stretch:
- Fleece fabric with added Lycra for 4-way stretch and maximum mobility. Its abrasion resistant face protects from wind, while the interior wicks moisture away from the skin.
- Lycra:
- The most famous brand name associated with spandex. A synthetic fibre known for its exceptional elasticity, it is stronger and more durable than rubber.
- Wick/Wicking:
- The act of transferring moisture from the skin to the outer layer of a garment quickly and efficiently, where it evaporates. Provides a drier more comfortable environment inside a piece of clothing/equipment.
- Kevlar:
- A very tough PA (PolyAmide) fibre that is highly resistant to rips and tears and used to reinforce areas of high wear.
