Glossary

D.W.R.DWR stops water being absorbed in to the face fabric which is essential to help maintain the breathability of the garment. Without DWR the face fabric would ‘wet out’ (become water logged) meaning that perspiration would be unable to escape from the body because it would be stopped by the wet layer. The perspiration would then cool and condense on the inside of the jacket making you wet and ultimately, colder.
