Arc'teryx is expensive but I picked this up in the sale so very happy!
It's not going to do the job if it's super cold but if you need something that packs up small then it's incredibly warm for the weight. I wear it as a mid layer for skiing and also over a t shirt for cycling in the winter as it's very breathable.
Also with the half zip it looks really nice compared to most fleeces which is a bonus - I have it it in roseberry which is a cranberry colour.
As people have said, it comes up quite small. I am a size 8 and have a small and that gives a nice fitted look.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Serena A new Arc'teryx fan!
I have never been so impressed with an item of clothing before.
Having always balked at Arc'teryx prices, but aware of their leading position in the research and development of new materials, I was eagerly awaiting the end of year sales. This was my first Arc'teryx purchase and I admit I did not have high expectations.
I have always suffered with feeling the cold, but so addicted to climbing, have struggled on through the winter season, wearing all the clothes I could possibly squeeze on under my down jacket.
However, with the arrival of this micro fleece I was truly astounded. For the first time in many months -I live in the UK!- I was actually warm. And I didn't need a jumper on top either. I bored my climbing companions all weekend raving about my new found climate comfort! and promptly purchased another micro fleece -in a different colour- on my return.
The only thing I will say as a word of warning; in the UK I usually buy tops in an 8 or 10, XS or S. Fortunately I had tried one of these tops on in a shop prior to ordering, and I actually ordered a Large. They do come in very small compared to regular sizes.
Would recommend this to anyone who struggles with the cold. It also keeps out the wind, and rolls up very small when stuffing into a backpack. It is extremely soft and comfortable and comes in nice and long to stay put under a harness when climbing. 10 out of 10.

This top is light and very comfortable and good to wear on its own or as a mid layer.
It is fitted, so if you are unsure of what size to buy I would suggest going a size up. I am a standard size 14 and it fits tightly to my body which is what I wanted but if you require a looser fit then a size larger would probably be better.
