stand out from the crowd This jacket had a baptism of fire! I wore it for 1000m mixed climbing up the Studlgrat ridge in Austria and around 500m rocky and glacier roped descent in fairly awful weather. It had to handle being scuffed in chimneys and rubbed against via ferrata steel cables as well as all the normal activity levels. The hood was a great fit over my alpine helmet and the pockets good for my camera and altimeter. I wasn't totally dry at the end but given the thunderstorm and the climbing it wasn't surprising some water got in. As I was summitting 3800m in fog I was pleased with the colour - it looks great in the photos even when you cant see anything else! Disappointed that the jacket was heavily reduced in price about 1 week after I bought it. It is a great jacket but VERY expensive. 25 August 2012
