Higher cost but excellent quality
I haven't pushed this bag to its limits as yet but after 25 miles in two days I can say it is worth every penny I paid for it.
I wanted a bag that was good quality and would be capable of being a day bag as well as expanding for longer trips. What was surprising - and it really shouldn't have been - was just how good it is to carry. When secured properly the bag almost lifts off of your shoulders meaning there is very little stress around the shoulders and it doesn't irritate. If you are someone who likes a lot of pockets and holes to put things in then this bag may have too few for you but overall I think it strikes a good balance and it certainly isn't a game changer.
Yes, it is expensive, yes, it is probably on the big side for the day walker, bigger than is necessary but one thing is for sure...I won't be buying another bag for a good long while.
