Osprey
Osprey Packs was founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 1974, with Founder, Owner and Head Designer Mike Pfotenhauer sewing custom backpacks on a customer by customer basis. Osprey Packs today is a far cry from the Osprey of 1974, with worldwide distribution, excellent brand recognition and a pocketful of editorial awards. Despite this growth, some important constants remain – Mike's design and ownership and our dedication to innovation and quality in packs.
